I’m on my way home from Mexico. I love to travel and I find flying is the quickest way to get me from reality to relaxation. There is nothing better than leaving the bitter cold of Minnesota and 3 hours later walk out in the warmth of the tropics.

Sometimes it gets rough when flying. They call this turbulence. They fly into hot pockets or they may have to fly through some storm clouds. It is not uncommon to be a little shaky or even drop in elevation quickly. When this happens you find your stomach in your throat.

I have had a couple of rather turbulent trips. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t enjoy them, but I’ve learned what’s on the other side and that has always made it worth it. Isn’t that how life feels at times? Turbulent and shaky? And some times you don’t know what will be on the other side. But God has promised us if we trust Him as our pilot He will be there thru the turbulent times and get us through to the other side. He knows what the other side looks like and He wants you to trust Him. People will fail us. People will hurt us. But God will not. Trust Him. Lean on His strength when the turbulent times hit. He promises to hold you steady, despite the rocky surroundings and stormy skies and will carry you to the other side. Now that’s a person I could trust…will you?

Proverbs 3: 5-6

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.”
