Most of us are realistic enough
to know that life
will never be totally free
from problems.
Accidents happen,
sickness comes,
mistakes are made,
things break down.
We all know that.
But at times it seems as if
almost everything goes wrong.
Nothing whatever
seems to go right.
We simply do not know
how we will ever get
on top of things again.
And we become
thoroughly discouraged.
God understands
our discouragement.
He knows why you feel
the way you do.
And he promises to be there
when you turn to him
for help.
Others may turn away from you
when things go wrong,
but God will never leave you
when you’re down.
