Journey Through Divorce - Blessings

I am so excited to join you again. Thank you for taking the time to check in and see what we have coming down the road.

Grief is a difficult thing. I feel I have spent over 2/3’s of my life grieving. First my marriage, then for my children. Then the loss of my 2nd husband, then for my children again. Then the loss of my best friend, then for her children. As much as I hate grief, I hate it even more for our children. Life is hard enough on them, grief only makes it worse.

There are many things I have learned about grief over the past 30 years. But the most relevant is that you are never the same coming out of grief than you were going into it. Grief changes people. Some things change temporarily just to survive. Other things change for a lifetime. And if you’re like me, once you finally settle in and start to understand the “new you”, something else happens and you find yourself on the floor once again, starting the process all over again.

For those of you who are on the floor or who are concerned for their children, there is HOPE. We will find ways to stabilize and start turning things around. Then with our feet firmly planted on God’s HOPE we will start making steps to living through the grief. Will it be easy? No, but the peace you will find as you put one foot in front of the other will give you the strength to continue.

Stay tuned to see what God has in store for you through Sonset Point Ministries.

Your Faithful Servant,
